Autumn is for Lovers

While summer is a sizzling sexy season, autumn slows things down for romance. The cool air calls for cuddling; the seasonal harvest cooks up treats that delight; and the lush foliage provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic afternoon.

If your relationship has been lacking in romance, there are some simple activities that just might help you re-connect with your partner and enjoy the best the season has to offer. A dash of romance might just be what you need to create a new or special intimate moment. Take advantage of the romance of autumn with some comforting activities, whether you have a weekend or just a few hours.

If you have an hour . . .

  • Go for an evening walk. Go on an evening stroll with your lover to take in the brisk air and sneak in some hand-holding.
  • Light a fire and curl up. Start a fire in the fireplace or, even better, outdoors. Cuddle up and enjoy the warmth.
  • Have a hot toddy or mulled apple cider. Make a few warm cocktails to enjoy. Best served outside to take in the foliage.

If you have half a day . . .

  • Bake a special fall treat. Fresh apples, pumpkins, and squash of autumn combined with the cooling temperatures make it a great season for baking. Make something special for your partner, or head to a great bakery or cafe for a sweet afternoon.
  • Go for a scenic drive. Make a playlist, and then hit the road for a scenic drive. It could be a good time to catch up with each other, and maybe even some quiet time to share fantasies.
  • Put on your favorite sweaters, and nothing else. If your summer had you doing a lot of running around, then fall is a great time to just hang out and do nothing. Throw on some comfy sweaters or get under the covers, and just cuddle, read, or watch movies for an afternoon.

If you have a day . . .

  • Go hiking. The fall is a nice time for hiking, and getting your heart rate going with your partner can also get your libido going. Get some fresh air and exercise, and then head home for a shower and more, er, exercise.
  • Visit a farm. Take a day trip to a farm in your area to pick apples, taste cheeses, and find the perfect pumpkin. The simple pleasures of the day might just get you in the mood for more erotic pleasures later on.
  • Go wine or beer tasting. Autumn brings with it great seasonal brews and tasty wine pairings, so head to a local vineyard or brewery and savor the local flavors.
