Five Steps to a Romantic Evening
If you want to surprise your partner with a romantic evening, but aren’t sure how to start, here’s an easy five-step plan to create your night. Romance is all about tapping into your five senses, so let them be your guide.
Let Your Senses Lead to Romance
- Sight. Work on the ambience in the room. Light candles, throw fabric over a lamp (don’t let it catch on fire!), or dim the lights. Soft lighting makes everything sexier and creates a sensual mood.
- Sound. Make a sexy playlist, and let the mood music be your guide. Whether you are into R&B or rock, there is romantic music for all your needs. Music also helps to block out distractions.
- Taste. Here’s your chance to show your moves in the kitchen. Look up some recipes for some sensual finger foods, and make small plates that you and your mate can share. Don’t forget to pair them with nice wine.
- Smell. Certain scents are considered aphrodisiacs, such as ylang ylang, sandalwood, jasmine, and bergamot. Incorporate scent in your romantic evening with scented candles, scented oils, or simply a nice perfume/cologne.
- Touch. Hopefully, if you take all the other steps, touch will be quick to follow. But just to make it a complete five-step plan, you can also incorporate touch with nice fabrics. Put new sheets on the bed, get satin lingerie, try a leather blindfold. All the different materials will introduce different sensations to your sexy night home.
